There is a
very famous proverb – Actions speak louder than words!!
As a child I
used to be amused by this saying. Because my childish & innocent mind did
not understand the concept. It only understood the existence of black &
white. There was no place for gray then. Strangely, all the kids around the
world have the same understanding.
Reason??
If you ask
me, I would say that children are pure hearted, who believe what they see. It means
that, they decipher the actions as they are played. We call kids INNOCENT. Ever
wondered why? – Because they link no background no history or any other thing to
the words they are listening at that very moment. It is 2 dimensional for them.
WORDS = ACTION. Pretty simple, isn’t it??
Well, it
ain’t that simple as the kids grow up. Because he/she develops a third
dimension to it – FEELING. It is the same feeling that ACP Pradyuman from CID
has, when he says “Daya kuch toh gadbad hai.”
This FEELING
is nothing but the INTUITION. Also known as “GUT FEELING.” It is the
subconscious mind telling us of what we are actually feeling. But we are humans!!
And the most intelligent ones of course!! (maybe even intelligent than God
because we all are verrrry gooood at ignoring this GUT FEELING). It is like
saying “Huh what?? Sshhhhh that small voice inside. I know much better what I am
doing??
The
subconscious mind is not very aggressive. That is why sometimes we know what we
have to do, BUT…. There is a small voice somewhere telling us otherwise. That’s
the subconscious working passively!!!! BUT… uuh huh - we are intelligent humans!!!!
So we keep on ignoring it or shushhhing it.
Sometimes the
more shocking reality is – we know the ‘GUT FEELING’ is right, but due to
societal pressure of being judged as a crazy one to have a completely different
view and/or opinion we purposely ignore it.
Therefore
there are times, when we find that peoples’ words & actions do not match. They
say something but they mean something else. Matlab
- Muh se shehed tapakta hai, par ander se kuch acha nai lagta. It very
confusing for the logical conscious mind.
At every
step, in every situation, with every person that we come in contact with, this
voice is always working.
Amazingly, we
are already 18 years into the 21st century but we still don’t hear this
voice.
‘WHEN WILL WE??’
So next
time when I will be in a “CONFUSED” state of mind, I will be brave enough (ignoring
the judgements of society) to concentrate on the actions rather than words.
Words are misleading but Feelings are not.
“HOW ABOUT YOU??”
